There's Lots to Do and See in Abu Dhabi

Music lovers will be pleased to know that Abu Dhabi plays host to international acts and bands throughout the year. During the cooler months (November to May), enjoy the weather to the fullest through outdoor food festivals, air shows, art fairs and exhibitions.

The Arts Center at NYU Abu Dhabi

The Arts Center enriches the cultural life of both the campus and the city, presenting distinguished professional artists from around the world. Enjoy live performances in theater, music, dance, poetry, and more.

NYU Abu Dhabi Art Gallery

The Art Gallery presents curated exhibitions of art and culture across historical and contemporary topics, with a special emphasis on subjects of both regional concern and international significance. 

Shopping

Across the Emirates, you can find everything from ultra-modern malls with the latest international brands, to small independent outlets where you can buy traditional perfumes, handicrafts, spices and carpets. Shops open at around 10am, and close at around 10pm or later on weekends.

Food

With such a large mix of nationalities living in Abu Dhabi, there are foods available from many parts of the world. Abu Dhabi has many ethnic restaurants to try, including local Arabic cuisines.

Sports and Recreation

There is plenty of sports and recreation in Abu Dhabi. You can choose from recreational sports like golfing, cycling, horse riding, or endurance sports like international triathlons and cycling events. Abu Dhabi hosts the internationally renowned Formula 1 racing event each fall.
