NYU Abu Dhabi's Graduate Programs Office promotes academic, social, and professional development for doctoral students. Besides working to support advanced researchers in a range of fields, we take every opportunity to foster interdisciplinary community-building.

Programs offered may include faculty panels on applying for academic jobs, teaching development workshops, lab open houses, cohort dinners, writing workshops, and opportunities work on presentation skills with peers. Our programs are built to supplement learning in classes and during research, addressing the holistic needs of future academic and industry leaders.

Activities in Abu Dhabi

We organize social and career development events each semester for our graduates to interact and mingle with the Abu Dhabi community. Guest speakers from different disciplines are brought in regularly for intellectual discourse and networking, and we often arrange off-campus activities such as a catamaran cruise to enjoy Abu Dhabi at its best, especially during the cooler months. Graduate students are also invited to participate in many recreational activities such as athletic clubs and movie nights.
