Affiliation: NYU Abu Dhabi
Education: PhD AcSIR
Research Areas: Functional Porous Materials and Supramolecular Architectures
Bikash graduated with Honors in Chemistry from The University of Burdwan, India, in 2010. After that, he received his Postgraduate degree in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India. He finished his doctoral thesis on 'Stimuli-Responsive Porous Framework Materials: Design, Synthesis and Applications' from CSIR-NCL (Affiliated with AcSIR) under the supervision of Prof. Rahul Banerjee. In his doctoral research, Bikash studied various metal-organic based architectures for host-guest interactions and applied them as model drug delivery vehicle and chemical sensor. Later he joined TU Dresden (Germany) as a postdoctoral researcher for developing structurally flexible metal-organic frameworks.
In Prof. Tarabolsi's research group at NYUAD, he is currently working on redox-active organic frameworks and supramolecular motifs. His current research interests include the synthesis of covalent organic frameworks and supramolecular architectures towards molecular engineering.
