Bidyut is a meteorologist working on understanding the physics and dynamics of the Indian summer monsoon and to improve the simulation of the same by improving the global climate models via better representation of organized convection. In order to do so, he uses cloud resolving and stochastic convetive parameterization approaches.
Bidyut is currently working on the stochastic multicloud model (SMCM) convective parameterization scheme.
His resesarch interest is in Indian summer monsoon variability, and convective parameterization.
