May 5-7, 2017: Professor Rebecca Morton took her class to Athens, Greece for a Regional Academic Seminar and to attend the 2nd Annual Athens Meeting of Behavioral and Experimental Economics and Social Sciences (ABEESS), which took place at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
ABEESS was organized by Andreas Papandreou (Associate Professor of Economics, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) and Vasileios Vlaseros (ABEESS Laboratory Director, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and Senior Treasury Researcher, National Bank of Greece). The event aimed to bring together experimentally minded social scientists from the two institutions.

Additionally, Curtis Kephart and Han Il Chang, postdoctoral associates at SSEL, also gave presentations at the meeting. The students and SSEL team found it to be a very useful and engaging experience, contributing to their overall learning of experimental methods in the social sciences. They also spent time exploring the ancient landmarks of Athens.
