Nahla Rizk finished her PhD in biomedical engineering from Khalifa University for Science and Technology, Abu Dhabi. As for her research, she focused on the use of different types of nanoparticles in drug delivery. She worked on the synthesis, purification, optimization of coating with biocompatible materials, and stabilization of nanoparticles to increase their efficiency in different biomedical applications and to increase nanoparticles’ monodispersity in different future applications.

Nahla Rizk’s research interests also include biomaterials, tissue engineering, targeted drug delivery systems, biochemistry, biophysics, physiochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, and cancer therapy. She has published papers in high-quality, Q1-level international journals (Nanotechnology journal, Journal of Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, Energy Conversion and Management, and Solar Energy Materials and Solar Cells).
