She has a Master’s degree from Uppsala University, Sweden, and joined NYUAD as a Research Associate in 2013. She works in Kris Gunsalus lab on several research projects, one of them being discovering novel anthelmintics and their possible targets using the free-living soil nematode C. elegans as a model organism.
Research
She is currently working on the following:
High throughput chemical genomics in C. elegans to screen for novel anthelmintics and their targets.
Characterization of microbial crystals from Bacillus thuringiensis in an attempt to find new biopesticides.
