WESSI 2016

January 4-19, 2016
NYU Abu Dhabi

WESSI 2016 is designed to provide training for social science graduate students and junior faculty in experimental methods, broadly defined (lab, field, lab-in-the-field, biological, and survey experiments will be covered). The 2016 Institute includes special sessions on the issues and concerns of conducting experiments in Africa, the Middle East, and the surrounding region. Students at the Institute will be given the opportunity to receive personal feedback on their own research, through presentations and from meeting individually with faculty.

September 16-17, 2016
NYU Florence

The Bobst Center for Peace and Justice at Princeton University and the Social Science Experimental Laboratory (SSEL) at New York University Abu Dhabi are hosting the Winter Experimental Social Sciences Institute (WESSI) Workshop at New York University Florence Italy on September 16-17, 2016. This workshop is organized by Rebecca Morton (NYU NYC and AD) and Amaney Jamal (Princeton University).

The WESSI Workshop gives social science PhD students, postdoctoral fellows, and junior Assistant Professors in experimental social science the opportunity to present their research designs and work in progress and receive personal feedback from noted scholars in the field. It enables students to attend presentations by these mentors, and learn from their research experience. Each mentor presents their own research and each student receives feedback from two mentors.
