Bhavani Madakashira Pranesh

Research Areas: The epigenetic role of uhrf1 during liver development and in cancer.
Bhavani received her Bachelors of Science from India followed by a PhD at Miami University, Ohio, USA. Her graduate research focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms involved in the development and differentiation of the murine ocular lens.
She joined NYUAD in December 2015 and works in the Sadler Edepli lab. She is interested in furthering the research being conducted in the lab to understand the epigenetic role of uhrf1 during liver development and in cancer, using the zebra fish as a model.
