Postdoctoral Associate Affiliation: NYU Abu Dhabi
Education: Dr. rer. nat. , MSc, BSc, Friedrich-Schiller University, Jena, Germany

Dr. Stefan Schramm was born 1991 in Thuringia, Germany. He received his BSc (2012) in chemistry and a MSc (2014) in chemical biology from the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena, Germany. He earned his Dr. rer. nat. (doctor rerum naturalium) in 2016 in chemistry from the Friedrich-Schiller-University, Jena, Germany, in the group of Professor R. Beckert by studying the chemiluminescence of the 2-coumaranones with a special focus on synthesis, luminescence mechanism elucidation and development of potential applications. His research interests includes the synthesis of small organic molecules, characterization of luminescent materials and quantum chemical calculations in order to clarify reaction mechanisms and model excited state geometries.
