Aballah Ramini

Research Scientist Affiliation: NYU Abu Dhabi
Education: PhD, Binghamton State University, MSc and BA, Jordan University of Science and Technology

Dr. Abdallah Ramini was born in Amman, Jordan. He received his Bachelor (2004) and Master’s (2007) degrees from Jordan University of Science and Technology in Mechatronics Engineering. In 2012, He was awarded his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Binghamton State University of New York with a focus on the static and dynamic behaviors of MEMS devices and structures under shock. From 2012 to 2013, he was with Binghamton State University of New York as a Post-Doctoral Fellow working on the dynamical integrity of MEMS resonators. In 2013, he joined MEMS and NEMS Characterization and Motion Laboratory in King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, Saudi Arabia as Post-Doctoral Fellow. His research focuses on designing, modeling and experimentally characterizing microstructures with a focus on their mechanical and motion aspects under linear and nonlinear behaviors. Also, it focuses on the possibility to delve into the nonlinear dynamics of micro-oscillators and to more aggressively exploit nonlinear interactions. Dr. Ramini is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers ASME.
