Cyberphysical Systems Laboratory

Cyberphysical Systems (CPS) are large scale networks of interconnected and collaborating smart devices possessing sensing, computation, communication and control capabilities that interact with and control physical entities.

Nowadays, the use of smart devices such as smartphones is ubiquitous in all facets of everyday life. It is estimated that their number will exceed 40 billion by 2020, which equates to approximately five smart devices per human being, all connected to a vast network, the Internet of Things (IoT). These systems are very complex and generate big data, whence their design, management, and data mining constitute challenging tasks. The goal of the Cyberphysical Systems Lab (CPSLab) at New York University Abu Dhabi is to devise architectures, algorithms and protocols that guarantee an efficient and robust operation.
