Salam Khalifa is a researcher at the CAMeL lab, her current research involves working on Arabic Morphology, specifically Gulf Arabic. Salam is involved in several projects involving the creation of corpora, tools, and guidelines. Her most recent work is a corpus of a morphologically annotated Emirati Arabic corpus (Khalifa et al., 2018).
She completed both her BSc and MSc degrees in Computer Science from the University of Sharjah, Sharjah, UAE. Her MSc research area was in Computer Graphics, specifically 3D animation reconstruction.
The Gumar Project. Which involves a large-scale corpus of Gulf Arabic along with resources, tools and guidelines that pans over different Arabic varieties.
