Hashim Hayat
Research Scientist

Hashim Hayat is a computer scientist who explores the field of advanced system development for AI solutions in the area of public health and health care systems. After graduating from NYU Abu Dhabi, Hashim spent some time working in the technology industry to learn and solve real-life challenges in the area of public health, health insurance, and medical /health education. Hashim joint the CITIES lab at NYU Abu Dhabi in 2020 to contribute towards the area of health care system research.
Hashim has also helped the NYU College of Dentistry to build various educational technology tools that are used by students and faculty to accelerate medical learning.
Hashim and his team are currently working on an evidence-based patient treatment system that uses various clustering and machine learning techniques to understand a patient's condition in an intensive care unit setting and recommend useful treatments and/or tests to improve the patient's condition.
