Jobs and Internships

At the Career Development Center we support you in gaining professional experience through internships, part-time jobs, and student organizations. We help you make meaning out of past experiences and choose meaningful future experiences — experiences that align with who you are and your professional goals — we help you figure those out, too. We can teach you to share your experience through things like a CV and cover letter, LinkedIn, interviewing, and networking. All of this is to help you build relationships and gain new experience.

Put your degree to work.

We help you find and be competitive for jobs both while you’re studying and after you graduate. You can build meaningful experiences on- or off-campus during the academic year, and all over the globe during the summers.

Our students work in all types of industries and around the globe, but they start by building their skills and crafting their story, which is where we come in. View jobs specifically curated for NYUAD students and alumni on Handshake.

Our students and alumni have the opportunity to work and intern at impressive companies across the world.

Internships — locally and globally.

We help you experiment with different possibilities and develop the skill set you need to get where you want through internships, both in the UAE and abroad. Our advisors help you orient to what work experiences fit you and your goals, then help you strategize to secure them.

Students intern part-time during the academic semesters and full-time during the summer, and the average student will complete at least three work experiences before they graduate. They aren’t compulsive, but our students love to learn outside the classroom. You can view internship postings on Handshake and discover what students have done before on our internship map.

We curate options, and help make them strategic.

Handshake, the NYUAD career development platform, gives you access to search for jobs and internships that are specifically curated for NYUAD students. You can find templates and tips for your CVs, cover letters, and job search; and access to online resources to help you understand global mobility, connect majors with specific career options, and upgrade your industry knowledge.
