Palaash Bhargava holds a Masters in Economics from the Delhi School of Economics. Prior to, being an instructor of economics at NYUAD, he was working as an investment banking analyst at Nomura in the Capital Solutions Group (Debt Capital Markets). He current research interests are geared towards exploring the influence of networks, culture and non-standard economic preferences on individual labor outcomes, institutions and macro-economic variables like inequality and growth.
His current projects explore the impact of status seeking preferences on levels of democratization and economic growth. He is also working on curating primary databases from several sources which can be used for cultural studies and network analysis.
