Research Areas: teaching methods and quality assessment in the fields of accounting, controlling, business, higher education
Johanna has always tried to link the academic and the business world in her professional career. She started as an accountant in a family-owned business in Austria and moved on to the banking industry as a controller. In the academic world, she gained her first teaching experience in accounting and presentation techniques for undergrads at her home university in Vienna. Upon completion of her PhD, she moved to Spain and continued teaching accounting classes at the undergrad and graduate level at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. During the last decade, she worked as program head of the Business Consultancy Program at an Austrian university.
Johanna's research and teaching interests include:
Teaching Fields Accounting, Controlling, Presentation Techniques, Didactic Aspects of Teaching Business Administration, Student Retention and Drop out, Innovative Teaching Methods, Quality Assessment and Management in Higher Education.
