Stavros Kolliopoulos holds a Diploma in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras and a PhD in Computer Science from Dartmouth College.
After a postdoctoral appointment at the NEC Research Institute in Princeton, NJ, he taught at McMaster University in Canada. He has also taught as visiting faculty at Columbia University in New York. He currently serves as a Professor at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in Athens, Greece. His research interests lie in the design and analysis of algorithms for combinatorial optimization problems. He is especially interested in the interface between linear programming and approximation algorithms. In recent years he has also conducted research in algorithmic graph theory.
