Edward received his M.Sc. at University College Dublin (Dublin, Ireland) in the field of Organometallic Chemistry. He Currently serves as an Instructor of Chemistry at NYUAD. Prior to joining NYUAD, Edward was employed in Research and Development in the chemical industry, working mainly with active pharmaceutical ingredients (API's) and process transfer & development. Edward has been involved in ADNOC funded research with the Naumov group since arriving at NYUAD, studying the identity, properties and inhibition of asphaltenes. Edwards other interests include Teaching and STEAM outreach and he has lead some recent outreach initiatives to increase public interest and awareness in this area.

Edward is primarily involved in teaching the undergraduate chemistry laboratories of the Foundation of Science (FoS) integrated curriculum (sophomores), as well as the FoS Chemistry lecture course (Freshmen), where he and the FoS team strives to make the course both engaging and educational. 

Edward also holds a number of professional certifications in Environmental Health and Safety.
