Victor Okoth is an Assistant Instructor of Civil Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD). He received his Bachelor of Science from New York University Abu Dhabi in 2019. He did undergraduate research on the performance of various traffic control algorithms at single intersections as the market prenetrations of Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAVs) increase.

Post graduation, his research was on a variant of the backpressure algorithm to estimate and control traffic, and on the the design of pyramidal shaped buildings to reduce congestion in highly populated areas. He also supports Civil Engineering professors as an instructor for Statics, Probability and Statistics, Geotechnical Engineering and other Civil engineering classes.

His research interests are on adapting traffic infrastructure to the adoption of autonomous vehicles, building information modeling and on political, economic and social factors hindering or advancing visa openness in Africa.
