Edward Ziter is a theatre historian with a specialization in 19th century British theater and contemporary Arab theater. He is the author of the Orient on the Victorian Stage(Cambridge UP, 2003), and is currently at work on a history of political theater in Syria. His work on Syria has been supported by a Fulbright grant and a fellowship from the Humanities Institute at NYU.
