Craig Protzel, a Los Angeles, California native, is a creative technologist and Assistant Professor of Interactive Media at NYU Abu Dhabi. His work lies at the intersection of web development, computer science, video, education, and storytelling. He received a BA in Human Biology from Stanford University in 2001 and a Master's degree from NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program in 2012. Before joining NYUAD in 2014, Craig's professional experience included working as a producer-editor in the entertainment industry, a creative software developer at Vimeo, NYU Langone Medical and O'Reilly Media, and an adjunct professor at NYU New York. He recently assumed the role of Program Head of Interactive Media (Fall 2016) at NYU Abu Dhabi and he is excited about the future growth of the program.
