Bryan Waterman specializes in the literary history of colonial North America, the early United States, the Atlantic World, and New York City. His research ranges from the intellectual culture of early America to the development of punk rock on New York City's Lower East Side in the 1970s. At NYUAD he teaches courses on literature, media studies, and contemporary art.
