David Lesser

David Lesser is Adjunct Professor of Piano and Composition at NYUAD. He studied at the Royal College of Music, London and the University of Huddersfield, and was then Senior Teaching Fellow at the University of Warwick. He has also taught at the University of Bath, the American University in Dubai and the American University of Sharjah. As a composer and pianist he has worked with Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, Karlheinz Stockhausen, James Dillon, Michael Finnissy, Mathias Spahlinger and Peter Eotvos, and appears as an accompanist frequently in Europe. His new CD of chamber music by Michael Finnissy was released on the Metier label in April 2016 to widespread critical acclaim.
