Director, Philanthropy and Partnerships
NYU Abu Dhabi is dedicated to working globally to identify strategic partners to solicit additional philanthropic support to supplement and support the strategic goals of NYU Abu Dhabi in teaching, learning, and research.
Development and Alumni Relations work in collaboration with our partners across the University to discover, motivate, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni, parents, faculty, and friends for immediate, long-range, and future support, through gifts and pledges to NYU, for critical operations such as faculty support, academic and research program development, and facilities and infrastructure.
Development and Alumni Relations endeavors raise additional funds to support the long-term vision and priorities of the school. Development and Alumni Relations is the NYUAD division of University Development and Alumni Relations at NYU New York.
Rima Christine Zaitoon leads the fundraising efforts for the University, providing tactical guidance on strategy and development plans. Funds raised support the university’s academic and strategic initiatives, including scholarships, professorships, research programs, community initiatives, and student programs.
Rima was the managing director of a New York based start-up, leading market research and strategy. Prior to that, she founded the development office of His Majesty King Abdullah’s school King’s Academy in Jordan. Rima spent several years as a senior member of the Yale University’s Principal Gifts team, where she managed relationships with a significant number of Yale’s top donors, and launched its first Middle East outreach campaign.
