Assistant Director, Athletics
Pete Dicce sets the vision and provides leadership for the university's sports programming. Pete is the driving force behind the Abu Dhabi Inter-University Sports League (ADISL) and serves as the university’s sports liaison with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, UAE Higher Education Sports Federation, FIFA, AFC, and International Special Olympics. In his role as Assistant Dean of Students, Pete oversees the Student Conduct Committee and is the advisor to the NYUAD Debate Union, Model United Nations, and Model Arab League student groups. A former NCAA Division I athlete and current NCAA record holder, Pete hold a USSF “A” license and coaches the NYUAD soccer teams. He is also Assistant Director of Coaching for USYSA East Region Olympic Development Program.
Prior to joining NYU, Pete was a practicing civil trial attorney licensed to practice in the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and various Federal courts. He is an accomplished practitioner in the area of alternative dispute resolution. Pete is a graduate of Temple University (BA), Pepperdine University School of Law (JD) and Virginia Commonwealth University (MEd). He is an Adjunct Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University's Center for Sport Leadership.
