Maroua Ben Mabrouk
Manager, Office of the Vice Chancellor Administration
NYU Abu Dhabi Administration works closely with the Vice Chancellor on all matters related to the office, including university policies, strategic planning, communication, and institute-wide initiatives. The Office of Administration also oversees operational units, Public Safety, University Events, Program Services, Faculty and Staff Health Services, Auxiliary Services, and Administrative Governance. The area is responsible for the development and oversight of the university’s policies and procedures, and it works closely with NYUAD’s government partner on crisis planning and joint governance issues.
Lily Burns-Hernandez is the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Administration and Chief of Staff. In this role she works closely with members of the community on a wide range of strategic and operational issues. As the Chief of Staff, Lily supports the Vice Chancellor’s initiatives and works directly with NYUAD senior leadership.
Lily has worked in higher education for almost 20 years and joined NYUAD in 2011. Prior to working at NYUAD, she worked in the President’s Office at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). At MIT, Lily worked with the senior leadership and the faculty officers on all faculty governance related matters. Lily has also worked in strategic roles at both Harvard Business School and Harvard Medical School.
Lily has a BA in History and French from Southern Methodist University, and a MA in Intercultural Relations from Lesley University.
