The Office of Undergraduate Academic Development focuses on undergraduate education, teaching and learning, and mentoring. Areas that fall within Undergraduate Academic Development include the Core Curriculum, Writing Program, and Hilary Ballon Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
Bryan Waterman is Global Network Associate Professor of Literature at NYU Abu Dhabi, where he currently serves as Vice Provost for Undergraduate Academic Development and Director of the Core Curriculum. He is also an associate professor in NYU’s Department of English, where he has been a faculty member since 2001.
Bryan's research and writing concern the literature and cultural history of colonial North America, the early United States, the Atlantic World, and New York City. At NYUAD he teaches courses on literature, media studies, and contemporary art.
