New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint a Research Specialist reporting to the Associate Director.  

This role is offered on a part time basis (17.5 hours per week) and the role will be primarily based in Dubai, co-ordinating recruitment of participants into the UAE Healthy Future Study from clinics in Dubai.  

The Public Health Research Center (PHRC) at NYU Abu Dhabi is seeking a Research Specialist to assist in recruitment management for the UAE Healthy Future Study: a large cohort study in the UAE aimed at recruiting 20,000 Emirati National adults to study health outcomes related to cardiovascular disease, diabetes and obesity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate the recruitment process in Dubai in close collaboration with various national institutions and different departmental staff members and in line with study protocols
  • Organize and maintain planning of recruitment campaigns with Dubai Health Authority, other collaborating institutions and the mobile clinic
  • Serve as the contact person for government institutions and other collaborating institutions. Assist with other aspects of the research project as deemed necessary

Required Education:

  • BSc/ MSc degree in Biology, Epidemiology, or a clinical degree of relevance

Required Experience:

  • Experience working on a research project
  • Experience and interpersonal abilities to work with external stakeholders
