Position Summary

UAE Nationals are encouraged to applyNew York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint an ERP Systems Analyst reporting to the Associate Director, IT Enterprise Applications.

The ERP Systems Analyst will manage the daily operations of the ERP systems. The individual will perform system audits to ensure data integrity, assist with the administration of related functionality, provide systems analysis and operation support, assist and maintain custom and ad hoc reports and provide end-user training.

This position works with staff in departments and administration to identify business process improvements, define and analyze functional requirements, identify potential solutions and interface with global technical and reporting teams to implement the selected solution.

The areas under the responsibility of the ERP Systems Analyst include, but are not limited to, the following: Coordinating day to day support and engineering for university’s business applications, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction, provide guidance and assistance to other team members to perform tasks related to the implementation, maintenance and enhancement of the University's Enterprise systems, acceptance of new applications rolled-out. Other services and projects as assigned by the IT Enterprise Applications management. The role will also strive to ensure the delivery and acceptance of Enterprise Application services to NYUAD in alignment with the NYUAD-Technology Group mission, objectives, and constraints.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Applications Support - The role is responsible for providing day to day Enterprise Applications Support as follows:

  • Manage daily operational support to the University’s applications and related processes
  • Manage all change requests related to University’s Abu Dhabi site for applications functionality, including testing and end-user training
  • Design, develop and implement specialized queries and reports
  • Research and correct systems issues
  • Partner with NYUNY to ensure timely resolutions
  • Manage and resolve segregation of duties conflicts between the system users
  • Lead backfill and support to other system analysts
  • Maintain high level of customer satisfaction; maintain visibility with the customer, consistently delivering timely, high quality services on current and new Enterprise Applications
  • Operate independently as appropriate and work cooperatively as part of a team to accomplish the goals of NYUAD-IT Enterprise Apps
  • Work with end users and peers to document and analyze functional requirements, identify gaps and analyze alternative approaches to meet requirements
  • Produce top quality of functional/technical documentation to assists user community in running their day to day operations
  • Initiate recommendations to incorporate them into the business model and approved methodology
  • Identify problems and alert supervisors with sufficient lead time to avert crises
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, transferring knowledge to users, other functional team members and training documentation specialists
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices and new technologies and recommend changes to current methodology

Enterprise Applications Development - The role is responsible for providing Enterprise Applications development/implementation support as follows:

  • Responsible for analysis, design, development/implementation, configuration, testing, and deployment activities related to Enterprise Applications
  • Decomposing high-level business and user-defined requirements into system functional requirements and design documents
  • Responsible for helping to ensure that the new products meet the objectives and any other appropriate criteria associated with the system requirements and Statement of Work
  • Work with functional, technical and reporting peers to implement approved solutions
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the customer in the direction and use of the new applications
  • Performing and supporting Functional Unit Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing and User Acceptance Testing

Project Technical/Functional Lead - ERP Systems Analyst will play a lead role on the project and are involved in the following:

  • All phases of a life cycle implementation, including blueprinting, gap analysis, mapping, prototypes, design, and configuration, testing, go-live, user training and post production support
  • Lead other project team members in setups, life cycle activities and ensure integration best practices are followed
  • Define strategy, review deliverables for quality assurance purposes justify the business case, develop implementation plans, track progress against plans, and provide expert technical/functional ERP recommendations to the team, keep stakeholders informed and understanding the process
  • Work as integrator through all stages of the application development life cycle with regard to in-house personnel and outside consultants

Required Education:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience in supporting ERP Systems

Preferred Education:

  • ERP certifications
  • ERP vendor certified trainings

Required Experience:

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of ERP systems
  • Minimum of 2 years ERP implementation and support experience
  • Experience in ERP domains such HR, Payroll, Student, and Financials Management
  • Demonstrated knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures used within applications environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills are essential
  • Persuasive and assertive with the ability to change behavior to ensure the optimum utilization of available resources
  • Good organizational, presentation and report writing skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Previous experience of developing policies and procedures preferably within IT
  • Must be able to manage conflicting priorities in an effective and professional manner

Preferred Experience:

  • Operations Managements (Aligned to ITIL) 
  • Demonstrated project management, leadership, and decision making skills
