New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint a Visiting Students Program Coordinator reporting to Assistant Vice Provost for Global Education Administration.

The position will be responsible for supporting the growing needs of the visiting students programs.  The position will be responsible for coordinating integration activities and student support.  The coordinator must adhere to Office of Global Education policies; implements appropriate protocols and procedures in accordance with these policies and in support of the educational mission of NYU Abu Dhabi.  The coordinator will demonstrate skills in coordinating programs to support the unique needs of student groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize the on-boarding arrangements for short-term, J-Term, summer, and semester-long visiting students
  • Organize all aspects of the visa processes for visiting students, including collecting documentation, procurement processes, organizing health exams, and maintaining records
  • Prepare pre-departure and on-site orientation materials specific to each category of visiting students
  • Coordinate all orientation activities for visiting students as is specific to their program, including logistics and communication with all relevant departments on campus
  • Create the integration calendar for semester and summer visiting students
  • Produce program calendars for short-term visiting students and groups
  • Produce all visiting student integration and program events and activities, including planning, budgeting, handling financial transactions and procurement, transportation arrangements, reservations and travel logistics
  • Produce and disseminates effective communication tools (weekly newsletter, calendar invitations, social media presence)
  • Produce reports on assessment and feedback from all visiting student programs
  • Help generate and organize statistical data for departmental reporting
  • Supervise Student Global Education Officers participating in visiting student programming
  • Expected to work some weekends and evenings to support the visiting student programming
  • Provide support for new programs and initiatives as assigned

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree

Experience Requirements

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistent accuracy
  • Solid experience with Word, Excel, Qualtrix, InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, web applications, and CMS management
  • Strong record keeping and data management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and to handle multiple projects on tight deadlines
  • Professional maturity and judgment, including exceptional discretion and a capacity for resourceful initiative in a team context
  • Experience working with college students
  • Personal study abroad experience during college years
