NYU Abu Dhabi will offer undergraduate and graduate degrees and extraordinary opportunities for faculty research, scholarship and creative work across the Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Sciences, and Engineering. It has the resources and governmental endorsement to become a leading center of intellectual pursuit, collaboration and impact. Situated at a new crossroads of the world, it will generate complex and open-minded understanding of issues in their global dimensions. The first cohort of faculty will be academic leaders who value the opportunity to build the institution, shape programs, and foster synergies across fields.

NYU New York and NYU Abu Dhabi will be integrally connected, together forming the foundation of a unique global network university, actively linked as well to NYU's study and research sites on five continents. NYU Abu Dhabi’s first class of students will arrive in fall 2010; although our public programs have already commenced, having started in fall 2008.

The recruitment of faculty is being led by “Coordinating Groups” that correspond to the disciplinary areas of the NYU Abu Dhabi Curriculum.
