The NYUAD Entrepreneurship Weekends provide young entrepreneurs the opportunity to develop their own startups in two exciting weekend events. On November 9th of last year, students developed their products and business plans under the mentorship of prominent entrepreneurs in the UAE. Over the past several months, keynote speeches and training sessions led by local experts over have allowed students to further hone their entrepreneurial skills. The weekend series will culminate this April 19th when participating teams will pitch to a panel of industry professionals and early stage investors, with one winning proposal selected by the judges.

Program Agenda

Throughout the weekends, students have learned the fundamentals of startup development through intensely engaging and educational sessions. Students have carried knowledge gained from these workshops and guest speakers into the field, where student teams have used these lessons to develop their products and assemble viable business plans. On this upcoming April 19th date, student teams will pitch their business plans to a panel of industry professionals and early stage investors in competition for the “Best Startup” award.

The weekend includes the following events:

April 19th , Saturday
The event will be hosted from 4pm – 7pm in the Conference Room of the NYUAD Downtown Campus. The student teams from NYUAD will pitch first, and the “Best Startup” Award will be awarded. Approximately 15 Startup teams from NYU in New York City with also pitch to the assembled panel in Abu Dhabi via video conference calls. The evening will conclude with a mixer in the DTC Garden.
