Mechanism Design Conference

By Invitation Only

December 17-19, 2016

NYUAD Campus, Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi

This conference brings together world-leading economists in the field of mechanism design. Mechanism design is concerned with designing procedures and institutions that generate socially desirable outcomes in practical real-world environments. Central to this research area is the idea that decision makers are self interested, they respond to incentives, and they act strategically. This field has lead to important innovations in many settings, contributing to the better design of markets, of auctions, and of voting procedures, to mention just a few examples.
