Conference Comparative Political Development in Post-Soviet Eurasia and the Middle East

By Invitation Only

Date

Location Abu Dhabi

Social scientists who study post-Soviet Eurasia and the Middle East conduct cutting-edge research on themes of direct relevance to both regions, but they rarely have the opportunity to exchange ideas and analyses of cross-regional significance in focused settings. This workshop brings together scholars of the two regions to critique working papers on themes of common interest, including regime dynamics, popular mobilization, the aftermath of regime change, the political economy of resource-based regimes, and relations between post-Soviet Eurasia and the Middle East.
