Samreen Malik received her Ph.D. from Cornell University as a Fulbright scholar. Her primary research and teaching interests are in international finance and open economy macroeconomics.  In particular, her research focuses on institutional changes in international capital markets, the changing structure of international capital flows, and the consequences of these changes for economic development and international risk sharing in emerging market economies in the globalization era.
