Biography

Sachin Khapli’s research focuses on the synthesis of nanoscale building blocks and their self-assembly to create materials with novel mechanical and opto-electronic properties. During his graduate studies at Rice University, he worked on the development of Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization for the synthesis of functional biomaterials. This was followed by a post-doctoral training at the Center for Bio-Active Systems, NYU-Poly, where he developed novel methodologies to create stimuli-responsive microcapsules from biological building blocks. Sachin holds a B. S. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and Ph.D. from Rice University, Houston.
