NYUAD has multiple on-campus dining venues providing a wide choice of international menu selections. Options meet a variety of dietary considerations including vegetarian and Halal. Our dining facilities are operated by ADNH Compass and provide dining services at the Downtown Campus (DTC), Center for Science and Engineering (CSE), and Sama Tower.
The Meal Plan
Meal plans on campus include:
- Three meals a day — breakfast, lunch and dinner, Monday through Sunday. Meal plans are only usable at NYUAD dining facilities.
- Meals at the Sama Dining Hall are all-you-care-to-eat. Items at the live cooking station and hot food counter will be portioned (i.e., two shawarmas), however students may return for seconds, thirds, etc. Water, soft drinks, and packaged juices are unlimited, as are black coffee and tea (students will be charged for specialty coffee drinks).
- Dining Dirhams per semester for buying food in smaller quantities (such as a single yoghurt or bottle of water). Unused Dining Dirhams will roll over from fall to spring semester. Dining Dirhams are only usable at NYUAD dining facilities.
A Range of Offerings
Sama Dining Hall offers many delicious options including pasta, burgers, soups, and vegetarian dishes. From time to time, the dining staff prepares regionally themed buffets with fantastic international cuisine. There are also always yogurts, whole fruit, snacks, sandwiches, and drinks to grab as well. The staff is kind, helpful, and willing to aid in all dietary restrictions or preferences.
