The Sama Fitness Center is a state-of-the-art, 6,900-square-foot facility located on the 4th floor of Sama Tower. The Center includes studios for Yoga, Pilates, Spinning, and Body Conditioning and houses facilities focused on cardiovascular exercise, resistance, and free weight training.
The center has the latest equipment from LifeFitness, including treadmills, ellipticals, summit trainers, concept rowers, and two Vibrogyms for advanced vibration training. Additional features include a multi-Jungle Stack which allows up to eight individuals to work out simultaneously with simple-to-follow instructional placards integrated into the design, illustrating proper use and specific muscles trained. Additionally, the Yoga/Pilates studio has a spring-cushioned floor and audio-visual capabilities allowing users to set the mood for exercise sessions.
Classes
The Sama Fitness Center offers various exercise, dance, and fitness classes throughout the academic year for NYUAD students, faculty, and staff. Specialized trainers with a diverse range of fitness expertise make each visit to the center one that brings the individual much closer to achieving health and fitness goals.
