What is a Complete Nomination?
Each nomination must include:
- Nomination form
- School profile
- Student writing assignment
As a counselor, educator, or community leader, you are invited to nominate top students for admission to NYU Abu Dhabi. The nomination is submitted on behalf of the school or organization to help the admissions committee understand the academic caliber and unique talents of the nominee within the larger educational context of the school or organization, the country, and the culture. The nomination will supplement the application for admission during application review.
Your nomination will bring top-performing students to our attention well in advance of the application deadlines, allowing the admissions committee to give additional attention to nominees during the admission process. Your nomination will also allow us additional opportunities to assist you, your students, and their parents, with any questions about the application process, NYU Abu Dhabi, and the global network university at large.
Yes, every nominee must also submit a complete Common Application and the NYU Supplement to the Common Application by the published deadlines to be considered for admission.
No. The admissions process for NYU Abu Dhabi is highly selective. Only a small portion of the applicant pool will be invited to Candidate Weekend, and an even smaller portion will ultimately be offered admission. However, we expect that your nominees would be competitive candidates at any university to which they apply, therefore it is likely that a high percentage of the entering class will be comprised of nominees.
Yes. Any student in the final year of high school may apply to NYU Abu Dhabi. Students who are not nominated should not feel discouraged from applying, and should feel free to reach out to us with any questions they may have about their applications.
