The NYUAD Library offers a growing print collection and access to myriad electronic resources via NYUNY: 90,000 journal titles, 1,000+ databases, and more than half a million e-books and audio & video files. These electronic resources are accessible within the library and remotely with your NetID login. NYUAD users can also request books from NYUNY's 3.9-million-title collection; requested books will arrive in an average of three days.
Reference and research assistance is currently available via telephone, email, and in-person at our Information Desk. Librarians are available for one-on-one consultations and group classes. We are also exploring broadening our reference services to include instant messaging (IM), online office hours, and social networking (e.g., Facebook, Twitter). Patron interest and feedback will guide future service options. Online and in-person instructional classes covering a wide range of subjects will be offered as training in library resources.

Group Study Rooms
NYUAD has four group study rooms on the first floor. Three smaller rooms can hold four to five people, while the large instruction room can hold three groups of four to five people, or 15 total. Each room is equipped with computers, 42-inch monitors, and large tables.
These rooms are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Requesting Materials
If an item is not available in our collection, there are several options:
Quick Loan: Books and materials held by NYUNY will usually arrive within one week.
Quick Order: Books and materials not held by NYUNY will arrive within one week.
Founder's Plan: To add a work to our permanent collection, please suggest a purchase. These items typically arrive within 60 days.
In the future, we plan to offer the following options:
Quick Print: Once operational, the Espresso Book Machine will be able to print available titles within 10 minutes.
Digitize on Request: Some musical recordings, scores, videos, and archival items will be available for digitization and electronic delivery.

A range of electronic equipment is available for check-out at the Information Desk. Laptops, cameras, video cameras, projectors, webcams, and other equipment may be checked out for different periods of time. Online tutorials and research guides on various subjects are available through our Research Help page.
Librarians are available for student consultations from 8am-5pm Sunday through Thursday. Librarians can help you organize your research, brainstorm topics, help find resources for your assignments, and provide instruction in using online databases. Please schedule an appointment by contacting the NYUAD Library.
Food and Drinks are allowed in the library in moderation. Please dispose of trash in the appropriate receptacles and notify library staff of any spills.
Information for Staff and Visitors
Staff members are welcome to use NYUAD's electronic library resources within the library and remotely via NetID login. Loan privileges are extended to staff members as well.
Summer Scholar Application
The NYUAD Library is primarily intended for use by our faculty, students, and staff. Members of the Abu Dhabi community may be granted library privileges through the Summer Scholar program. If you have a special research need that requires the use of our library, please apply for this program using the form provided below.
