Biography

Nathalie Peutz is a cultural anthropologist whose research interests focus on globalization, conservation and development, heritage, citizenship, and migration in the Middle East, specifically in Yemen and Somalia. Her publications include a co-edited volume, The Deportation Regime: Sovereignty, Space, and the Freedom of Movement (Duke University Press, 2010), and articles in Current Anthropology and American Ethnologist. She is currently writing a book on the recent development of Yemen's Socotra Archipelago.
