An authority on pre- and post-war Europe, Nadine Roth traces the changing role of public space in Germany from the years of occupation through the German Democratic Republic. Her work on the topic received the John Bullen Prize, Canadian Historical Association, and she is currently preparing a book manuscript on the subject. Roth received her B.A. from the University of Regina, her M.A. from the University of Calgary, and her Ph.D. in history from the University of Toronto.
