Biography

Jules Coleman is a philosopher and Senior Vice Provost at NYU.  He has published widely in legal and political theory and in the philosophy of economics and the philosophy of social science more broadly.  His main research has focused on the nature of law and the place of personal responsibility in the normative landscape. At NYU-AD he will teach a core course on the relationship of legitimate authority to matters of global justice.
